Mantan Web has revealed that the production of the first ever film adaptation of the popular manga and anime "Hunter x Hunter" has been greenlit and is now in full production.
Though the manga series has spawned 2 anime series, including a current ongoing one, there has not been a theatrical anime in the nearly 1 and a half decades of the manga's serialization. According to sources, the movie will have an original storyline.
According to Mainichi, Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of the series, will publish a message in this year's 16th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on Monday.
